Since February 2022 the teachers are sitting down at the students’ desks and deal extensively with the German curriculum of Brandenburg. Mrs. Sommerwerk, the long-time principal at the UNESCO project school in Leipzig and lecturer in subject didactics at the University of Leipzig, has been a coach for teachers and school administrators at Rahn Education since 2011. From February 2022 to February 2023, Mrs. Sommerwerk will accompany us and conduct professional development seminars for our teachers. What are the educational standards of the German curriculum? How can I work in a competence-oriented way in the classroom? How do I design more effective lesson planning? Our teachers deal with all these questions in this year-long professional development seminar in order to improve the quality of their teaching. This also involves observations in the lessons and ensuring close consultation.
