Registration in our kindergarden at Rahn Schulen Kairo for the school year 2024/2025

Dear parents,

thank you for your interest in our kindergarden. We would like to introduce you to the admission procedur in more detail.

The following steps are taken in the admission process:

• Registration
• Invitation to 2 trial days and trial days itself
• Parent interview with the kindergarden management
• Recommendation to the school management
• Definitive decision on admission or rejection by the school management

1. Registration
You can register your son/daughter online at: https://egypt.rahn.education/en/registration/online-application/

Please note the registration deadlines for the different levels.

2. Invitation to the trial day
Your child will be invited to 2 trial days at our kindergarden by our school office approximately 10 days in advance. You will have time to pay the amount for the trial days. The registration fee of 2.000 EGP for the trial days has to be payed online. It must be received by us at least 3 days before the trial days:

Kindly send the payment receipt to our school office.

These fees are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the trial days.
Usually, the the trial days will take place in 2 mornings (approx. 4 hours, from 08.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.) Here, we pay particular attention to social skills, well-developed gross and fine motor skills and generally age-appropriate behavior of the children. Linguistic development is another important point in the assessment.

3. Parent interview with the kindergarden management
After the trial days, you will receive another invitation to a personal parent interview with the kindergarten management, in which you will receive further information about the care offered by our kindergarden.

4. Recommendation to the school management
The two factors (trial day and parent interview) are submitted to the school management. The school management makes a recommendation for admission.

5. Definite decision about admission or refusal by the school management
After the recommendation of the school management, the notification of acceptance or rejection of your enrolment will be sent.

Please note: No information will be given on current enrolments or on the decision of admission or cancellation.

Important dates for registration for the school year 2023/24

Note on late registrations

Applications received after the application deadline will be placed on a waiting list. If the capacities of the various groups allow it, you will receive feedback in the period from: 114.04.2024 – 09.05.2024 with an invitation to 2 trial days for your child. However, the waiting list does not guarantee admission in our kindergarden.

Necessary documents upon acceptance

• Original birth certificate of the child
• A copy of the child’s passport
• 12 passport photos in color
• First and last names of both parents or legal guardians with the copies of the ID cards.
• f available: Custody decision
• Valid address, e-mail address, telephone numbers
• Possibly medical documents (allergies, diseases)
• Copy of the child’s vaccination certificate
